1. About the Polisport Group and its policy

Founded in 1978 and based in Carregosa, Oliveira de Azeméis, the Polisport Group currently includes the companies Polisport Plásticos, Polinter, Polisport Molds, Polipromotion and Polisport Imobiliária, as well as the brands Catlike, Bobike, Polisport Bicycle, Polisport Off-Road, Polisport Street, Cemoto, Dieffe and Minia.

The Polisport Group is fundamentally committed to protecting the privacy of the personal data of its data subjects and their rights, acting in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council), in force since 25 May 2018, and Law 58/2019 of 8 August, which ensures the implementation of that Regulation in the national legal order.

2. About Catlike

At Catlike we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy provides information on how we collect and use your personal data and applies to all communications from Catlike. Use of the website does not imply that the user must provide any information regarding their identity. The brand cannot associate this information with a specific user. If personal data is provided, this information will be collected and used in accordance with the limitations and rights set out in the aforementioned regulation.

This Privacy Policy is intended to inform customers and distributors about what personal data we collect, how we process it, the specific purposes for which we use it and the rights you enjoy as a data subject.

We aim to protect your privacy and your personal data, so we treat your data in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring confidentiality and security with regard to the information we request from you, which is only used for the purposes expressly set out herein and which you have consented to.

Personal data is information that makes it possible to identify, directly or indirectly, a natural person (personal data subject), in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, preferences, among others.

We only collect information that is strictly necessary and relevant to the purposes for which it is intended. Thus, we may collect the following data: name, telephone number, email address and address; we may also collect data such as date of birth, newsletter subscription, tax identification number and payment details that appear on the product purchase invoice.

We collect personal data when you interact with us, in particular by filling in the contact and complaint forms, registering the product, subscribing to the newsletter and on social media.

6. For what purposes do we process data?

We process the personal data you provide for the following specific purposes:

a) To process enquiries and complaints

We process the data for the purpose of responding to requests for information and complaints you submit to us.

b) Product registration

We process the data for the purpose of contacting you to ensure that you always have the most up-to-date versions and information on our products.

c) Newsletters

We process data for the purpose of regularly sending you all the latest news from the world of Catlike. Each newsletter includes a link where you can unsubscribe at any time.

d) To provide you with better service

If you contact our support team or give us feedback about a product, either via email or on social media, we will collect and store this information in order to categorise communications, respond to you appropriately and, where relevant, investigate and/or resolve any product-related problems or incidents. We may also use your telephone contact or email address to inform you of the status of the same.

7. What are the data retention periods?

We process and store your personal data in accordance with the specific purposes for which it was collected and processed and only for the period of time necessary to fulfil those purposes.

8. Who do we pass your personal data on to?

We only pass on your personal data to third parties as part of the after-sales service, to respond to requests for information or complaints, in two specific cases: to the transport company, if it is necessary to send products; to the local distributor, who is carefully selected by us, in order to speed up the process and resolve the issue.

9. Who is responsible for processing the data?

Polisport Plásticos S.A. is responsible for processing your personal data. If you have any questions or need further information regarding the processing of your personal data or your rights as a data subject, please contact us via the following channels:

10. What rights does the holder of personal data have?

The holder of personal data has the following rights, among others:

– Right of access to their personal data, as well as to obtain confirmation as to whether or not it is being processed, and to other information, such as the purposes of the processing;

– Right of rectification – you can request the rectification of inaccurate, outdated or incomplete data;

– Right to erasure of data (“right to be forgotten”) – you can request that your data be erased and it is our obligation to erase it whenever it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and when you withdraw your consent or object to the processing and there are no legitimate interests justifying it;

– Right to restriction of processing – in certain situations, you can request that we suspend processing (for example, if you dispute the accuracy of personal data, processing will be restricted for a period that allows us to verify its accuracy);

– Right to object to processing – you can object to your data being processed for reasons relating to your particular situation. You can also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes, in which case the data will immediately cease to be processed for this purpose;

– Right to data portability – you can request that the personal data you have provided be delivered to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit your data directly to another organisation, whenever technically possible.

The data subject also has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time. If they withdraw their consent, their data will no longer be processed, but the withdrawal of consent does not jeopardise the lawfulness of the processing of personal data that has been carried out up to that date on the basis of the consent previously given.

We will respond as soon as possible, without undue delay and within a maximum of one month from the date of receipt of the request.

11. Security of personal data

We treat the personal data you provide with a focus on security and integrity, in order to protect it from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or damage, and from unauthorised disclosure or access. To this end, the Polisport Group regularly carries out security audits of its IT infrastructure.
Any breach of personal data that may entail a high risk to your rights and freedoms will be notified to the competent supervisory authority upon becoming aware of it.

12. Limitation of liability (use and risk)

The Polisport Group cannot be held liable for any losses or damages, in terms of civil liability, that are the result of the incorrect use of the website and its contents by the user, access to the user’s computer and computer system by third parties, viruses, among others. Although the Polisport Group is committed to the security of the website and has put in place the appropriate technical, physical and logical protection measures to ensure its protection, it cannot guarantee or declare that the files available for download are free of viruses, worms, Trojan horses, scripts or any other code or programme containing destructive or harmful properties. We therefore advise you to take all precautions to protect your personal data while using the Internet, in particular by changing passwords frequently and ensuring that you use a browser that allows the use of SSL communication.

Our website contains links to and from other websites, either of partners or of distributors. Please be advised that this Privacy Policy does not apply to any of these websites.
